During election seasons you have the opportunity to make a difference through on of our most treasured freedoms - the right to vote. Let your voice be heard!

2010 is a big election year for Northeast Ohio. There will be three critical elections. On May 4th, primiary elections will take place for federal, state and local candidates and the Health and Human Services Issues, among other issues, will be on the ballot. On September 7th, primiary elections will take place for Cuyahoga County Executive and Council. And on November 2nd, general elections will take place. The list of candidates for races during this election season are available at your local Board of Election's website. The list of Northeast Ohio's Board of Elections are at the bottom of the page.

Register to Vote...you might make history

In order to vote, you need to be registered with your local Board of Elections. If you have not register to vote or you need to re-register to vote, simply fill out a Registration Form and mail it to your local Board of Elections. You can obtain the Registration Form by visiting your local Board of Election online or in person. There is a list of Northeast Ohio Board of Elections at the bottom of the page, if your Board of Election is not list below, visit the Secretary of State's Board of Elections Directory for contact information of your Board of Elections.

Some Important Reminders -

  • You need to be registered more than 30 days prior to an election to be eligible to vote.
  • If you have moved or changed your name since you last registered, you need to re-register to vote. To re-register simply fill out a registration form with your current information and mail it to you Board of Elections.
